Label TextThis map was engraved by Pieter van den Keere and appeared in a reduced-size Latin edition of Johannes Cloppenberg's "Gerardi Mercatoris Atlis sive Cosmograhicae." It is the fourth derivative of John Smith's 1612 map of Virginia. This map is derivitive 4, state 1 (Verner).
