DescriptionA: This is a rectangular textile fragment with an approximate 4" x 5' piece cut from the corner. The textile is printed in small plaid squares of alternating blocks in three designs: shield with the word "PEACE" and date "1776"; shield with the word "PEACE" and date "1876"; and rifle and sword crossed over a cocked hat with the date "1776". The slogans "SAIL ON O UNION," "ST RONC AND GREAT," and "ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL," appear in bands between the blocks.B: This is a small piece of same pattern, which was cut from corner of larger fragment.
