DescriptionTrunk with flat base, straight sides, hinged, domed lid with large brass catch plate front in shape of a crown; open, scrolled heart-shape lockplate below, surrounding large keyhole; top decorated with four, rectangular panels formed by tacks, the central two panels larger than the two side ones; each central panel contains a large crown above a cipher "GR" formed from tacks' arrangement of front of trunk the same as top, with a pair of tulips in central panels in place of the crown and cipher; three large brass braces at front corners on each side; one large steel bail handle on each side; interior lined with brown leather; narrow, mahogany boards form a molding around interior of top (not original).
