DescriptionBrass snuff or tobacco box: rectangular brass snuff box with hinged (twenty-knuckle) inset lid and raised curved molding around four sides. Entire box is lined with tinned sheet iron. The box is very heavy for its sizeLabel TextSmall metal boxes with close-fitting lids were used for both snuff and smoking tobacco.
