DescriptionTablespoon with a downturned rounded tipped handle which joins the oval bowl with long, rounded rectangular drop. The edges of the handle are engraved with a linear border, widening and shaded as it approaches the bowl.InscribedFront tip of handle engraved “I" over "I * I” in block.
MarkingsBack of handle struck with London sterling hallmarks for 1775, along with "WS" over "RC" in relief within a rectangle with clipped corners (Grimwade #3334).
