DescriptionSilver cream pot: Circular stepped foot with guilloche chasing on rim and narrow star pattern milled band at juncture to globular body. Guilloche milled band at juncture to incurving neck, with everted pouring lip bordered by narrow star pattern milled banding. Cast C-scroll handle with bifurcated lower terminal.Label TextGreenberry Gaither worked in Washington, D.C. between about 1815 and 1838. Few pieces of hollowware marked by this silversmith are known today; this is the first example to enter the Colonial Williamsburg collection.
