WADDELL” (within an arc) / “VA” (smaller A).Label TextThomas Waddell’s pottery was at Christley’s Run near Boiling Spring in Alleghany County, Virginia. It is unclear exactly where Waddell trained, but he may have honed his skills while working with potter George Fulton in Westmoreland County and in Richmond. Very few decorated examples of Waddell's pottery are known.
