DescriptionVery small stock buckle. The buckle is rectangle in shape. The chapes are made with four small studs to attach to the stock and a set of four connecting tines.Label TextThroughout the 18th century, most men wore stocks around their neck. These were made from fine linen either pleated or gathered into tabs that were fasten with a buckle at the back of the neck. Often shoe, knee, and stock buckles were sold as sets during this period.
