DescriptionAppearance: Oval drop leaf dining table with a straight skirt, four cabriole legs carved on the knees and shaped knee returns with foliate motifs and single pendant bellflowers, with ball and claw feet; two fixed legs and two swing legs joined to fixed rails with finger joints.

Construction: The inner table frame has dovetails at the corners with the swing legs; end rails are tenoned into the tops of the fixed legs; the outer rails are tenoned into the fixed legs and the inner rails are nailed to the fixed outer rail from the inside; a diagonal medial brace is set into notches in the tops of the side rails; the top is attached to the frame with rectangular glue blocks glued to the underside of the top and the inside of the table frame, and with screws in pockets, two on the inside of each end rail and one on the middle, outside of each side rail.
