She is wearing a high headdress and her left arm is resting on a pedestal. Mary Isabella was the youngest daughter of the Duke of Beaufort. Therefore she was Lord Botetourt's youngest niece and the sister of Henrietta, whose watercolors Colonial Williamsburg owns.
