DescriptionShoe with pointed toe and high (2 7/8") sloped heel. Latchets with eyelets for tying over instep; square-cut high tongue. Upper and heel covered with ivory silk brocaded with large dark green leaves and rose and light blue flowers; instep and heel covered with strip of silver galloon. Green linen binding; kid and linen lining.Construction History:
1. 1730-1740: Initial Construction
2. At some later date the shoe was altered, possibly enlarged, and the woven silver trim
was added.
3. Modern green ribbons were added to act as ties for the shoes
