DescriptionWhite linen damask napkin, one of a set of six. Each napkin is inscribed JOHN OCHILTRIE WEAVER IN EDINBURGH 1712. The pattern shows a quartered escutcheon with an escutcheon of pretense, the crest of a marquis, and a scroll with motto: IN VIA VIRTUTI VIA NULLA. Design surrounds mantling and badges; superscription: INSIGNIA GEORGII IX DE SETON COMITIS DE WINTOUN DOMINI DE DETON &c 1712.
