DescriptionStriaght iron blades with cast steel welded bits for the cutting edge. Fully welded rounded bows. Small "C" shaped filing detail before the bow. Large turned bolt that holds the blades together. Below the bolt, one side is marked CAST STEEL, the other side GAMBIA. See illustration #126 in Isaac Greaves ca. 1842 catalog.
