DescriptionQuilt made of indigo resist cotton reversing to red, blue, and overprint green paisley design print, heavily stuffed with thick cotton batting and quilted with running stitches. Indigo resist textile is blue and white in a design of full- blown pomegranate blossoms with buds and fruit and symmetrically disposed leaves. Obverse of quilt is red and blue (and faded green) printed cotton in paisley design. Green is overprint yellow over blue.ProvenancePurchased from Boston dealer Amy Pleadwell.
