DescriptionFood warmer of creamcolored lead-glazed earthenware in three parts a) Stand is cylinder with cut outs about 2" by 4 1/2" on lower edge to place lamp or candle. A female mask is applied on front and back and a pair of foliated c-scroll handles on the opposite sides. Four series of four pierced holes in the shape of a diamond opposite each mask. Two pierced holes at the nostrils of the face masks. b) Bowl fits into stand so that 3/4 of it is hidden within the stand body, leaving an inch on view, small pointed ear-shaped handles on either side. c) A shallow domed lid with flange and six sided blossom knop sits on top of bowl. Decorated on the exterior with tortoiseshell colors in mouse gray, green, brown-red, and yellow.
