Label TextUn Medecin represents a doctor. He carries the tools of the profession on and beside his person. It is interesting to note that this print is not labeled in terms of these articles. However, among the things to be seen are a caduceus, pill bottles, ink stand and quill pen, many books and an eagle.

From a series of 189 sheets published by Engelbrecht in Augsburg under the title "Neü-eröffnete Sammlungen der mit ihren eignen Arbeiten und Werckzeugen eingekleideten Rünstlern, handwerckern und Professionen. Assemblages nouveau des Manouvries habilles...". The titlepage identifies J.J. Stelzner, C.F. Hörtman and Mich.Rösler as the engravers of the series.
