DescriptionShallow plate without a foot ring. Bluish tin glaze decorated in blue with a man standing between two sponged trees, holding what is probably a fishing pole.
Label TextShards of a plate with a figure in a similar stance have been excavated in Williamsburg at James Shields Tavern (9LA.0050, 9LA.0051, 9LA.0052). The Bristol attribution is based on the profile.
