DescriptionPorringer; wide circular bowl of squat proportions with nearly vertical rim on short convex body bellied just above a flat base; case pierced handle soldered to body below rim and placed at an angle slightly above horizontal.InscribedOwners' inscriptions "*R*" and "T*E" in block letters engraved on face of handle (unidentified); "M*D" in script letters on underside of base (added, unidentified).
Markings1) Sponsor's mark "SN" in block letters with two pellets above and a mullet below within a heart, 2) leopard's head crowned, 3) lion passant, and 4) date letter, capital F in shield, on face of rim to right of handle; leopard's head crowned and lion passant on underside of handle.
