DescriptionSalt Cellar: Circular; saw-tooth border on upper face of rather narrow rim enclosing hemispherical receptacle for salt; short inward-curving sides flaring to rather broad convex base with a band of gadrooning above a plain moulded edge.Label TextThis salt is an unusual abbreviation of the capstan type. Peal appears to record this touch mark from a bobbin salt of about 1705, but he does not indicate the presence of a device below the initials.
