DescriptionA pear-shaped jug with small lip spout and loop handle and red body covered with a white slip and a yellow lead glaze. Cut into the slip are a wavy line below the lip, the initials "EM" over "1792" inside a wavy line cartouche, and flowers and leaves.Label TextThis small jug bears the initials "EM" and the date 1792 within a cartouche. The simplicity and format of the decoration suggest Donyatt in Somerset as a place of origin.
