DescriptionA jug or pitcher of vasiform body with proud neck flaring gracefully. The spout flaring outward in a sort of C-scroll. The handle high and looped close to the body. The bottom inch of the body ribbed above a slightly swollen foot. The spout and the upper terminal of the handle with molded leaves. The foot ring trapezoidal in shape. The cool white glaze over the white body. The jug heavy and the potting thick, but not coarsely done. Mold lines evident on body below spout and both on and below handle. Gilt decoration comprising bands to the top edge, the bottom of the neck, and the foot. The handle with a gilt tassel. Both sides of the body with gilt script initials "NMT" above a flourish.InscribedBoth sides of the body with gilt script initials "NMT" above a flourish.
