ProvenanceThe original owner of this piece is not known. It was owned in the 20th century by Mrs. Adelide Sanders, wife of Livingston. This information came from a comment by Mrs. Pearl Sanders, from whom the bulk of the Glen-Sanders collection was acquired by Mr. Palmiter. Mrs. Sanders stated that a number of items were not at Scotia and were not owned by herself but by her "Aunt Addie" who lived nearby. Regarding the piece in question here she stated "The small sideboard was also at Aunt Addie's." The original owner could have been Peter Sanders but it also could have been any one of a number of other Sanders, Ten Broecks or Livingstons etc.
