In the upper print, a barber trims away on the elaborate macarony head dress of a hump-backed gentleman. The gentleman's nose has what appears to be leeches attached. He is looking in a mirror.
The bottom print shows two women with elaborate macarony head-dresses and costume (note the huge nose-gay stuck in the top front of the one lady) being approached by a macarony gentleman.
InscribedIn blue ink along the left edge: "FOLLY, FASHION PRIDE/ COURAGE"
