DescriptionSilver cream pot with scalloped-rimmed, pear-shaped body elaborately chased with leaves and scrolls around scenes of a hound pursuing a leaping hare and a tower and two swans with wings raised; supported on three 3-toed feet with a shell/leaf junctures; S-scrolled handle surmounted by a female head thumbgrip with acanthus leaf furl.MarkingsMarked in relief on base: 1) sponsor's mark "J•K" in script within a shaped oval [see Grimwade 1990, # 1405 for silmilar mark attributed to John Holland II]; 2) lion passant; 3) leopard's head crowned; and 4) date letter "k" for 1745-46
