DescriptionOne of a pair of plates with incised foot rings. Blue tin glaze decorated in blue with a design similar to that on 1960-927. On the reverse, stylized "15" in blue on the base and two groupings of interwoven grass on the rim.
Label TextThe number 15 appears on the bottom of this plate and is probably a decorator's mark. Numbers are often found on wares made in Dublin, but they are sometimes found on those from English potteries as well, and thus cannot be the basis for definite attribution. If the number is small, neat, and on the underside of the rim, the piece is more likely to be Irish.
InscribedOn the reverse, a 15 in blue on the base and two groupings of interwoven grass on the rim.
