DescriptionAppearance: Oval gateleg table with rule leaf joints (only the center board of top remains), wide overhang at each end, the frame supporting a single drawer, over a scalloped (two low, inverted arches) apron. The leg turnings are of very long narrow baluster form with a ring about 1/3 way down the vase, legs terminate in flattened ball feet, the legs connected with thin rounded stretchers with blocked ends.

Construction Note: Drawer: tulip poplar bottom same size as drawer minus front and nailed upward with rose headed nails into drawer sides, back, and front rabbet. Drawer rests on a wide central support reaching from front to back apron, dovetailed and nailed into top of front apron, likely tenoned into rear apron. Rear apron tenoned and trippled pegged into tops of legs. Rear edge of scalloped aprons slightly chamfered.
