DescriptionThis is a double weave coverlet in dark indigo warp and weft and white cotton warp and weft threads woven in two loom widths that have been center seamed. The design consists of blocked center (each 3" square); one row has alternate solids and cruciform motifs; other row has solids alternating with rectangular motifs -- "tic-tac-toe" fashion. The wide border on three sides is in pattern known as "Pine Tree." Geometric motif forms corner blocks at foot corners only.InscribedNo inscriptions
