DescriptionMiniature field bedstead with arched tester frame; head posts square in section and slightly tapering towards top; foot posts with tapered top, triple ring turning, and baluster over shorter baluster with ring-and-spool turning on either side, square in section at joint with rails, and feet with thick ring turning between two deeply turned spools; side and end rails tenoned into posts; posts topped with iron pins used for orienting tester frame and bed hangings; rectangular headboard tenoned into head posts; side and end rails rectangular in section, inside edge of side rails cut with individual rabbets to receive twelve rectangular bed slats; arched tester frame has five rectangular, horizontal braces to support textile hangings, center and outermost braces set onto iron pins, two braces left and right of center half-dovetailed into arched frame; original iron and brass(?) casters.Label TextThis rare doll's bed retains its original textiles styled exactly like those on full-size field beds. The curtains enclose the bed when lowered and button up in graceful swags during the day.
