DescriptionFolding bed: headposts are octagonal in upper half and square in section in lower half; peaked headboard fits between posts; footposts "square" in section, topped by a cylindrical drum with mushroom knob; rectangular end rails with evenly spaced rope holes; rectangular side rails jointed approximately one third of way from head rail so as to fold bed up; evenly spaced rope holes on rails; rectangular tester frame, supported by spikes at top of head posts, and by two diagonal members extended from frame into headposts approximately 12 inches from top of posts; remnants of original green paint on rails; tester frame and headboard covered with modern red paint.Woods: The headboard and center supporting legs are white pine. All other elements are maple.
