DescriptionSweetmeat dish. Of circular form with narrow rim, deep well with concave sides and molded transition to flat center; sides of well pierced to form interlocking arcs. Dish has painted tortoiseshell ground with gilded decoration: on rim, alternating areas of quatrefoil hatching and floral/foliate designs; arcs inside well have edges highlighted, miniature swag and pendant border below; center of well has chinoiserie landscape with two figures holding umbrellas.
