DescriptionSide chair with slightly serpentine crest rail over a pierced splat, flaring at top with four lozenge shaped curved vertical piercings, baluster shaped at base with central heart shaped piercing; splat tenoned into a one piece rear seat rail and shaped shoe with a molded top; seat rails with rounded top edges; trapezoidal slipseat (missing); slightly tapered straight legs square in cross section; rear legs rake towards back; side and medial stretchers rectangular in cross section.ProvenanceFrom St. George Tucker House, Williamsburg, Virginia
