This fringe is a separate woven piece stitched to the finished edges of the coverlet. The centerfield consists of stylized floral and star medallions. The coverlet has a rose and leaf border with corner blocks in the lower two corners. Both of these blocks have the inscription "M.K./SPRINGFI/ELD:TO./BUCKS:CO/1844."Markings"M.
