DescriptionChild's cap made from white woven linen and multicolored beads. A tightly pleated and starched edging trims the outside edge of the cap and encircles the crown. A row of beaded trim positioned between the front and crown of the cap forms nine clusters of flowers (a pink one, a smaller yellow flower, and a tiny red one) with green leaves. The circular crown at the back of the head is decorated with a circular, continuous beaded vine from which fuschia-like flowers are growing, with the center peppered with tiny blue and green beads. The cap is gathered in the back with the aid of two narrow linen tapes.ProvenanceEx Coll: Mrs. DeWitt Clinton Cohen, 24 oct. 1945.
