DescriptionSmall rectangular box with hinged lid, covered in red/light brown leather with thinly striped tooling with decorative brass nails; leather spanning back serves as hinge; brass bail handle in center of top with round brass rosettes; oval brass keyhole escutcheon in center of front near top; brass nails around edges of lid and box on top of leather strips, leather strip around top edge of box below lid cut in V shape with brass tack in each V; decorative brass nails on front in swag and arched at lower corners, on top in oval around handle and arched corners; interior lined with plain paper (slightly blue); fabric tape nailed to underside of top and inside of proper right side.
