DescriptionHandkerchief plate-printed in purple on cream linen. Design shows a central oval with four people seated at a card table playing Quadrille. The printed title near the upper edge reads, "A Short Treatise on the Game of Quadrille." Printed instructions for the game fill the space around the central vignette. Narrow entwined floral meander forms outermost border. Narrow rolled hems.
