The central reserve includes cuts of the Virginia Arms above banners inscribed "TWENTY" and "SHILLINGS," the manuscript serial number "91251" or "21251," and the text block reading "TWENTY SHILLINGS Current Money of VIRGINIA Pursuant to Ordinance of CONVENTION Passed 17 July 1775.

Signed by John H. Norton and John Dixon.
Label TextThe most elaborate Virginia currency to this date, the printing forms for the issue were partially cut by Williamsburg silversmith William Waddill. Amazingly, the very brass and copper form which printed this bill survives, though altered for use in printing the £1 bills of May 6, 1776.
