Label TextDr. John Minson Galt (1744-1808) practiced medicine and ran the apothocary in Williamsburg, Virginia. He studied medicine London where he earned this certificate in surgery and for attending anatomy courses at St. Thomas's Hospital in London.

Certificate (See title). The head of these two certificates is St. Thomas's Hospital, with crest. Two designs appear beside these. In the first a patient is in bed. A doctor works over his leg, either bandaging or bleeding. In the second a patient sits in a chair being bled.
