DescriptionRectangular straight-sided container with a large rectangular central hole and twelve small round holes in a recessed top. White tin glaze decorated in orange-red, blue, manganese, yellow, and mixed green: on the sides, a woman seated at a table, a man standing behind her, and two large vases with a single flower and leaves; on the ends, a vase of flowers and leaves. Blue and green marks scattered among holes.Label TextA privately owned pair of bricks has the same decoration seen on this example, and another single brick has a similar design on the sides but a quite different design on the ends. Three other bricks in the CWF collection exhibit the same size and construction and have the same piercing in the top (accessions 1954-294, 1975-91, and 1967-149). The London attribution is based on the strong colors.
