DescriptionPetticoat matching sack-back gown of floral stripe brocaded silk. Petticoat is pleated to a narrow waistband. The fronts and sides are trimmed with two wavy bands of self fabric enclosing a ten-inch wide pleated ruffle that can be looped up with buttons and loops. Center back panel of petticoat is plain silk.Label TextPetticoat

All of the decoration on this petticoat is on the front, where it would have been seen beneath the open skirt of the matching gown. The pleated self-fabric ruffles can be buttoned up in a drapery effect. The petticoat was worn with a matching brocaded gown.
