DescriptionWriting table; flat, veneered top with shaped sides and serpentine front, all three edges terminating in flaring molding; paneled, veneered sides follow shape of top; single drawer at front, serpentine in shape with veneered facing; single bail brass and keyhole escutcheon at center of front; drawer opens to reveal sliding tray with felt top and two dished finger holes at front; bottom of drawer contains molded section at right front corner; carved, scrolled brackets beneath skirt on either side of front legs and in front of rear legs; front legs "square" in section, molded on two outside surfaces and chamfered on inside edge; molded cuff at bottom follows outline of legs; rear legs similar in all respects to front legs with exception that they are molded only on side surface; original leather and brass casters attached to all four feet.Woods: Primary: mahogany and mahogany veneer; Secondary: drawer sides - oak, interior framing and underside of top - deal
