DescriptionTobacco name plate copperplate; seven gentleman are seated around a large round table with glasses, bottles and pipes. The conversation shown in balloons over their heads reads like a modern commercial, as follows: left to right: 1st man: "Its Good Tobacco"; 2nd man: "It Smoaks Well"; 3rd man: "Whose is it"; 4th man: "Hieron's" 5th man: "Where does he live"; 6th man: "London Bridge"Label TextA copperplate used to advertise "Hieron's Best Virginia" tobacco and direct people where to find it. The plate depicts seven men sitting around a table, speaking about the tobacco. Small tobacco prints such as this one often were collected in the eighteenth century.
