DescriptionSmall boy's frock or gown of striped coral and green silk and linen woven in herringbone stripes alternating with satin stripes. The garment is cut with a low squared neckline, untrimmed, buttoned at center front with 5 self-fabric covered buttons. Long sleeves are cut to curve slightly over elbows, ending in 3 1/2" wing cuffs. The skirt continues in one with the bodice, flaring slightly with front triangular gores and side-rear inverted box pleats. Back bodice is cut close to the body, flaring into the skirt with a center back double inverted box pleat. Bodice is lined with plain-woven linen.Construction History:
