DescriptionTwo-part mold for casting lead window came blanks, with a heavy hinge at one end and an integral handling loop at the other, and three cavities to cast lengths of cames.
Label TextAfter being cast in a mold like this example, glaziers then employed milling machines to draw out the lead cames used in the assembly of casement windows. It is associated with a 1755-dated mill and dates from that time period.
