DescriptionStaffordshire tortoiseshell-glazed creamware reticulated basket with flaring sides. Affixed at each end is a scroll handle, molded around the base of the exterior with eight wickerwork cartouches edged in foliate scrolls and separated by basketwork panels beneath larger pierced wickerwork panel. Decorated with large spots of gray and smaller spots of blue, green and ochre separated by sprinkled manganese spots and stripes.ProvenancePurchased from David Newbon, London, England
