The obverse is engraved with the 3 plumes of the Prince of Wales, a banner inscribed "ICH DIEN" (I SERVE) over "23," the regimental number of the Royal Welsh Fuziliers.ProvenanceFound on 8 December 1985 by Kathleen M. Hunt on the site now occupied by Hamlin Plantation (a luxury housing development) outside of Charleston, SC.
