DescriptionFan in shades of white, black and grey. Plain sticks and guard japanned with gold in chinoiserie design, the sticks mounted between the double leaf. Guard sticks are bone below, painted black at juncture with leaf. Continuous pleated paper leaf is decorated with punched lacy designs on every other pleat (decoupe) and painted grisaille designs of butterfly, gnarled tree and Oriental woman feeding birds. Reverse is painted with butterfly and flower stem.MarkingsNone found
