Label TextThis type of sword was the standard sort used by the British 16th and 17th Regiments of Light Dragoons during the Revolutionary War. Furthermore, this pattern was adapted by James Potter of New York City for the Loyalist cavalry during the war.Of gargantuan proportions, light cavalry swords were the only such weapons intended for heavy use in combat in the American theater of war.
