DescriptionOval urn form body; milled band of floral and scrolls at shoulder, rim and foot; conforming domed hinged lid with applied shell and acanthus leaves ornamentation; cast floral basket finial; two-stepped foot; double C-curve hollow handle attached with silver pins to wooden spacers, with ivory rings; S-curve spout with split lip and applied acanthus leaves on top. Label TextFrederick Marquand worked both independently and in various partnerships in Savannah and New York City between 1820 and 1839.
