DescriptionLow post bed; Front and rear posts square in cross section with shaped top corners and angled sides with chamfered corners from the area of the headboard and footboard to the floor; each post cut through with a rectangular slot for side rails; side rails notched on inner top edge to receive wooden slats (side rails not original to this bed); headboard formed of cyma, versa, and recta curves meeting at center and straight across bottom; footboard straight across top and bottom.
ProvenanceAccording to source, bed was recovered in the Williamsburg area.
