DescriptionSingle bed with spool turnings. Headboard and footboard both have arched corners and five vertical turned elements between top of rails and rectangular lower rail; turned feet.
Label TextThis single bedstead was one of three used by the servants at Bassett Hall, the Rockefeller family home in Williamsburg, Virginia. Each of the three servants' bedrooms was furnished with a "Maple Bedroom Suites comprising: Single Bed...Night Table, Tall Chest of Drawer, Dressing Table [& Bench], Occasional Table" made by Wheeler Okell Co.of Nashville, Tennessee.
